Foyle Club - 2013 Lough Fea Cross Country

Some 130 riders battled each other, a tough, demanding course and the elements at Lough Fea yesterday.
Congratulations and respect to everyone who finished.
Commiserations to everyone who fell foul of the course.

This weekend Comber 1st Presbyterian hosted Norman McKeag's Classic Show in aid of the Ulster Hospital's stroke unit.
An eclectic collection of classic trials, MX, race and road bikes on display with a few modern bikes thrown in for good measure.
I do not proclaim to know anything about motorcycles manufactured before 1991 - I just post the stuff I like.

Snow Business

Whilst the snow brings work to a halt it can also bring a magical and enchanting beauty to otherwise bleak upland landscapes

shortlived however as the mist just appeared from nowhere and quickly shrouded the landscape

TT & RVF - my connection

In '94 I first visited the Island, shortly after arriving I set eyes on an RC45 roadbike for the first time - I fell in love. We watched the Formula 1 and saw an RVF podium with Steve Hislop, McCallen and Joey breaking the new bikes duck on the Island. Saw Lil' John's in the padddock in 2009...

And this year I am taking my little 35..

Saw this Desmo parked up at Peel Harbour whilst at the TT in 2009, later on it rumbled passed and it was the rawest noise outside of a MotoGP race I have ever heard - epic.

Kushitani Leathers

I started following racing in the early '90s, many of my favourite racers wore Kushitani - Robert, Joey, Kevin, Abe-san. 

 

The clean, uncluttered design remains fresh today.
