Isle of Man TT 2013 - Point of Ayre Lighthouse
On Saturday I visited the Point of Ayre to see Robert Stevenson's lighthouse, but was somewhat distracted.....
the Bimota DB5 Mille was new to me, powered by a Ducati 992 desmo engine, weighing 156kg with a frame of cro-mo tubing mated to machined aircraft alloy. Stunning.
plus the Point also has two lighthouses, the lower to warn of the shifting pebbly shore.
All week I was blown away by all the high spec bikes on the Island, just when you thought you had seen it all - you happen upon something even better.
2013 Isle of Man TT - Norton finishes
Ian Mackman took the Norton to 18th in the Superbike and 24th in the Senior, the Aprillia engined superbike sounding very like a MotoGP machine
